LCL / FCL

Choosing the right container option for your cargo

Overview

What is LCL / FCL?

FCL (Full Container Load) means your cargo has an entire container to itself — suited to larger volumes where you can fill, or nearly fill, a container. LCL (Less than Container Load) means your cargo shares container space with other shipments, suited to smaller volumes.

The right choice depends on your cargo volume, budget and timeline. We help assess which option fits a given shipment and handle the booking either way.

Ideal For

  • FCL: cargo volumes that fill most or all of a container
  • LCL: smaller shipments that don't need a full container
  • Businesses shipping a mix of volumes across different orders

Why It Works

Key Highlights

FCL: Full Container

Your cargo alone, with more control over loading and no sharing.

LCL: Shared Container

Pay for the space you use — suited to smaller cargo volumes.

Cost-Matched to Volume

We help you choose the option that fits your shipment size.

Consolidation Support

LCL cargo is consolidated and deconsolidated carefully at each end.

Process

How It Works

01

Volume Assessment

We review your cargo volume to recommend FCL or LCL.

02

Booking

Container space — full or shared — is booked with the carrier.

03

Loading / Consolidation

Cargo is loaded into a dedicated container, or consolidated with other LCL shipments.

04

Transit & Delivery

Cargo moves to destination and is deconsolidated if shipped as LCL.
